Hardware Assembly Technician, part time w/flexible schedule
We are seeking a part-time (24 hours/week) employee who can manage a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Manufacture, assemble, package and crate hardware products
- Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications
- Organize manufacturing areas, inventory and tools
- Take ownership of maintaining a clean and efficient workspace
- Read, understand and contribute to assembly instructions and engineering drawings
- Operate pallet jack, hand drills, drill press, tapping machine, laser cutter, 3D printer
- Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as Google Drive, Docs and Sheets
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion
- Maintain strong organization and prioritization skills
You will work closely with our mechanical engineering team to ensure the quality and accurate completion of products and projects.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of basic tools, strong spatial visualization and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- Ability to read and follow assembly instructions
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads and operate a pallet jack
- Technical skills and the ability to use hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments safely and effectively
- Experience with computers, using Google Drive, Docs and Sheets
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Familiarity and compliance with safety standards
- Basic electronic skills: soldering, reading electrical schematics
- Inventory Management
- Mechanical aptitude with 1-2 years of hands-on experience
- High School Diploma or GED – Desired: Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree
