Imaging Science Sales Engineer

We are seeking an Imaging Science Sales Engineer who will use a friendly and consultative approach to sell image quality testing solutions into new and existing accounts. You will work with customers to understand their test requirements and help them find a complete solution (software, lab equipment, targets/charts, services) to achieve their goals. In doing so, you will develop relationships with all levels of contacts with accounts including Engineering, Engineering Management and Purchasing.

In support of your work we have:

  • Multiple robust lead flows for you to create new customers and expand existing accounts
  • Engineering resources to aid your consultation with customers

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sell Imatest camera testing solutions to major accounts
  • Provide ongoing account management by holding regular discussions with key customers
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of camera technologies and image quality testing
  • Follow-up on leads, e.g. customers who download our software trial
  • Issue quotes and work closely with Sales Operations team
  • Primarily inside sales position with minimal travel (< 10%)

Requirements

  • 1 to 5 years of experience selling scientific and/or engineering products to engineers
  • Great attitude and strong work ethic
  • Friendly personality
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree: a wide variety of majors are acceptable, including Business, Imaging Science, Engineering, Physics or Optics
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and presentation
  • Ability to manage complete sales cycle: lead generation, follow-up and close
  • Existing permission to permanently work in the US

Preferred Qualities

  • Passion for cameras and digital photography
  • Experience with camera modules, optics, image sensors, or other camera-related technologies
  • Experience selling to major technology or automotive accounts in North America
  • Experience with CRM
  • Experience with Jira Service Desk and Confluence
  • Knowledge of Mandarin Chinese

Salary $65,000 – $80,000
