Systems & Software Engineer

Imatest is seeking a full-time employee whose primary responsibility will be the development of cross-platform commercial software with a focus on image processing applications. As part of this position you will be in charge of developing hardware interface software for a variety of cameras and other equipment.

Your skills:·      

  • Software Development – consultation, requirements, design, implementation, testing, release, support
  • Ability to write APIs that will abstract hardware interfaces to image acquisition, firmware settings, image processing, motion stages and lighting
  • Ability to read hardware programming guides and write drivers/software based on that information
  • Python 3, C++/C and Java programming and the ability to learn new languages as needed
  • Git version control
  • Experience with continuous integration tools, e.g. Jenkins
  • At least 1 year of experience working with Hardware (Microcontrollers, FPGA/HDL/Verilog/Xilinx, Interface protocols, Embedded systems, GPU acceleration)
  • At least 2 years of experience in software development
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Equivalent

These skills are a plus:

  • Accelerated computation including parallelization and GPU-based calculations with Boost, C++ STL, OpenMP, OpenCL, CUDA, or MATLAB Parallel computing
  • Fluent in modern C++ (C++11/14/17)
  • Project management: Agile, Scrum, Jira
  • Experience with numerical computation libraries, e.g. Eigen, Blaze, Intel MKL, Armadillo
  • Machine Learning
  • Experience with MATLAB
  • Experience with photography and/or image processing
  • Data visualization/interpretation

Imatest LLC is a well-established engineering company based in Boulder, Colorado, that focuses on measuring the quality of digital imaging systems. Our software, hardware, and test charts are used for R&D and manufacturing testing in a wide variety of industries, including smartphones, tablets, medical imaging, automotive imaging, machine vision, and space exploration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000 – $140,000 per year
