Lens test: Panasonic/Leica 45mm macro

This page contains Imatest results for the performance— primarily sharpness— of the Panasonic/Leica DG macro-Elmarit 1:2.8/45 (45mm f/2.8) ASPH lens, tested on the Panasonic G3 Micro Four-Thirds camera.

These tests are not intended to be comprehensive lens reviews. They will concentrate on SFRplus results, which include sharpness map mapped over the image surface, chromatic aberration, and distortion. We won’t say much about construction and handling, which are discussed in detail in photozone.de (which uses Imatest), and many other sites.

These tests are intended to demonstrate how to use Imatest and to report on the performance of lenses we happen to own or borrow from friends.
