Description
This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 4″ x 4″ rectangle / 101.6mm x 101.6mm.
- When placed over the lens, this 1.0 optical density darkens the scene by a factor of 1/10. For example, an ITI LED lightbox minimum setting will be reduced from 30 to 3 lux, or the low-light version will be reduced from 1 lux to 0.1 lux.
- 1.0 solid ND filter darkens the image, allowing you to photograph with a longer shutter speed or wider aperture than normally required.
