These Checkerboard Photographic Matte Test Charts are produced on high resolution matte photographic paper and designed to work with Imatest’s Checkerboard module. This module enhances testing of varying distances by supplying more testable regions to provide automated measurements of sharpness, lateral chromatic aberration, and distortion from images. Learn more about the Checkerboard Module here.

These charts are of particular interest for endoscope and medical device manufacturers, as always-on, embedded light sources in some of these instruments often prevent the use of a high-resolution transmissive target.

Description

The Checkerboard Photographic Charts are compatible with both Visible Spectrum and Near Infrared sensors. This pattern is produced at a 4:1 contrast ratio on high resolution matte photographic media.

For extremely high resolution systems, or systems where an onboard light source can be disabled, Chrome on Glass Checkerboard Targets are also available at sizes ≤ 4″ with 10:1 contrast ratio.
